Multicloud is a non-specific term simply indicating multiple clouds are in use, but multicloud can come in many forms: private, edge, and public clouds; shared and dedicated infrastructure; and on-premises and off-premises. Organizations tackling multicloud should look to understand their requirements, target outcomes, decision criteria, and trade-offs before identifying the cloud deployment strategy that works best.
