Red Hat, an open-source services provider, and Agilysys, which provides server and storage hardware, as well as software and services to enterprises, have inked a pact under which the two firms will team on various open-source solutions and services, according to an Oct. 5 press release on Yahoo Finance.
The deal makes the Agilysys Enterprise Solution Groups a Red Hat Advanced Business Partner, which means the two firms will work together on open-source applications and services.
Raleigh, N.C.-based Red Hat’s Ed Boyajian, vice president for strategic alliances for the firm, said in the release, “Agilysys has deep relationships with a wide variety of leading IT suppliers across a diverse group of industries, and we are excited to be a part of that portfolio. Together we look forward to helping even more enterprise customers implement flexible Red Hat solutions and to realize the value of robust performance, rock-solid reliability, and economic benefits that open source technology provides.”
