Intel has filed a countersuit in the Transmeta patent case, according to The Wall Street Journal online.
In October, Transmeta filed a suit against Intel alleging Intel’s Pentium III, Pentium 4, Pentium M, Core and Core 2 lines of microprocessors infringed multiple Transmeta patents.
Intel denied the charges in a court document filed Tuesday, according to the IDG News Service via Computerworld online, claiming that Transmeta infringed seven Intel patents.
Transmeta will study the countersuit further before releasing a statement, according to both sources.
