LG Shine Cell Phone |
The Shine handset is a slider-type phone that has been available in South Korea since October. It features a 2-megapixel camera and is priced in South Korea at about 600,000 won (US$656). LG has said the phone would be available internationally in the first quarter, so the launch at CES is in keeping with that forecast.
LG was expected to sell about 6 million Chocolate phones in 2006, and it will be hoping to repeat that success with the Shine. The Chocolate launched in Europe in May and in North America in August.
The company is expected to unveil the phone at a news conference in Las Vegas on Sunday at 8 a.m. local time.
