Orbitz announced on Tuesday that its information chief Bahman Koohestani is stepping down. He’ll remain in his role until December 7, according to an SEC filing.
Eileen Slevin was promoted to CIO of New York Life Insurance Company on November 5. Slevin has worked for the Fortune 100 insurer since 1977, when she joined the group insurance department. Eleven years later she earned her stripes as an assistant vice president, and in 1999 was named a corporate vice president. Slevin continued to climb the corporate ladder at New York Life throughout the 1990s. She moved into the IT department in 1995. In her new role as CIO, she reports to EVP and Chief Administrative Officer Frank Boccio and oversees a staff of 1300 technology professionals in six U.S. locations. Slevin is a graduate of the City University of New York’s Herbert H. Lehman College.
Ikon Office Solutions made its VP and CIO Tracey Rothenberger a senior vice president. Rothenberger’s promotion recognizes his ongoing work migrating the Malvern, Penn.-based company to a single ERP platform, according to the press release announcing his promotion. The CIO has worked for Ikon for seven years. He reports to Chairman and CEO Matthew J. Espe. Prior to Ikon, Rothenberger held IT leadership positions with Ecolab and U.S. Trust.
Robert Fronberry joined Solo Cup Company on November 12 as its SVP and CIO. Fronberry, 53, comes to the $2.2 billion manufacturer from building products company Broan Nutone Group, where he was CIO. He previously served as CIO for Vivendi Water in Paris and has also worked for Modine Manufacturing Company and Case Corporation. Fronberry graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also has an MBA from Northwestern University.
