After weeks of twitter clues from Microsoft, images of the so-called Arc Touch Mouse were leaked on a German retail site.
Microsoft’s “mystery” mouse, being called the Arc Touch Mouse for now, has not been confirmed yet, but it has been passive-aggressively tweeted about by Microsoft’s hardware group (@msfthardware).
This week, cute twitter teases were replaced with full-on images leaked on WinFuture.de, a German retail site. The images reveal a flexible mouse that arches its back for when you’re mousing around and then flattens so you can throw it in your pocket like a smartphone.
Consumer electronics news site Engadget was able to decipher the German text for other features, including: touch-scrolling, a battery indicator, the ability to track on most any surface, and a 2.4GHz nano transceiver that plugs into a laptop’s USB port.
Based on the WinFuture listing, the Arc Touch Mouse is expected to launch in October and cost about the same as Apple’s Magic Mouse, which sells for $69 in the U.S.
Now all we have to do is wait for Microsoft to stop dropping clues on twitter and announce the damn thing. Until then, here are some images to whet your appetite. All photos are from WinFuture.de.
