Need a new phone? Got $3300 and a need to stand out? If so, this 24ct gold iPhone 4 might be right up your alley.

A while back, I wrote a piece on the priciest luxury BlackBerry smartphones I could find, and since then, I get an e-mail every couple of weeks containing images and information on some new gaudy gadget that costs more than my automobile.

Today, it’s a 24ct gold Apple iPhone 4 from luxury jeweler Goldstriker.co.uk, which will set you back a cool $3,300 (2195 GBP).

From Goldstriker:

“Apple iPhone 4G, FULLY embellished in gold. The handsets are all SIM-free 32GB, factory unlocked for worldwide use. Also we offer this handset in a further choice of 20ct white gold or 18ct Rose Gold. Please allow 10 days for delivery.”

So, if you’re an Apple loyalist in the market for a brand new iPhone 4 that’s going to stand out from your coworker or neighbor’s iPhone, and you have a few thousand dollars lying around, you’re in luck. However, if you plan to, you know, make phone calls with your iPhone, you may want to think twice; I can’t imagine those antennae issues many new iPhone 4 users are experiencing will be lessened by a thick gold coating.

On the other hand, now’s probably the time to get a steal on older generation luxury iPhones, like this 24ct iPhone 3GS, also from Goldstriker.

And if gold’s not your shade, both ColorWare and Alexander Amosu are ready to deck out your handset in any color under the sun.
