When Covid-19 hit, HP faced the same issue facing many other companies: how to support its work-from-anywhere employees.

While already undergoing digital transformation, HP also had to immediately modernise its infrastructure and endpoint device management to support a sudden shift to a remote and hybrid world. The move went beyond just pieces of hardware: Software, authentication, device imaging, and break/fix all had to happen seamlessly—everywhere employees were.

An early adopter of work-life flexibility, HP has had a highly mobile workforce for many years. But its IT team faced transitioning nearly 70,000 employees, contractors, and their devices to a remote and hybrid work environment. HP had to ensure that it could:

  • Deliver a great employee technology experience
  • Manage devices in today’s hybrid work world—and from the cloud
  • Provide solutions before issues even arise
  • Deploy devices quickly, anywhere
  • Update and monitor security compliance
  • Device management for everywhere work

The good news: the team found powerful solutions in HP Services that made this crucial shift both simple and transformational.

“In our legacy environment we could support only 95% of employees working in the office. Now we can support 100% of our employees working from anywhere,” says Shawana Gaines, Director of Regional and Site Services at HP.
