The CRM software provider has been on an acquisition spree for the last four months to augment AI capabilities of its Agentforce and Data Cloud offerings.

Salesforce is buying San Francisco-based startup Regrello to enhance Agentforce, its suite of tools for building autonomous AI agents for sales, service, and marketing.
Regrello specializes in turning data into agentic workflows, primarily for automating supply-chain business processes.
Its core technology will act like a middle layer for Agentforce, and integration it could help enterprises accelerate business processes, according to Pratik Mistry, EVP of technology consulting at product engineering firm Radixweb.
“One of the toughest challenges in agentic systems today is turning messy, unstructured inputs into clean, organized task flows. Salesforce already has Einstein for predictions and the CRM graph for data. What they didn’t have was a way to take, say, a supplier contract PDF or an email about a delayed shipment and instantly spin it into an actionable, multi-step workflow. That’s Regrello’s strength,” Mistry said.
Forrester VP and principal analyst Charlie Dai sees Regrello’s integration into Agentforce as a way for Salesforce to augment its agentic AI capabilities with automated, domain knowledge-driven workflows.
“It aligns with Salesforce’s strategy to embed AI agents across business functions and will likely to boost autonomy in targeting operations like inventory management, predictive maintenance, and supply chain coordination,” Dai said.
Salesforce already offers an industry-specific version of Agentforce for Manufacturing and also targets supply chain as a business function.
The CRM software provider has been on an acquisition spree this year to boost Agentforce and its Data Cloud offering, which is the foundation for most of Salesforce’s offerings, including Agentforce.
Last week, it acquired Waii to enhance SQL analytics within Agentforce. In July, it boughtAI-powered prospecting platform Bluebirds to help sales teams identify and engage high-potential leads using advanced lead intelligence and data enrichment via Agentforce and Sales Cloud. In May it acquired Convergence.ai for technology that enables AI agents to navigate dynamic interfaces, managing everything from web-based workflows to multi-step processes by adapting to challenges like pop-ups, errors, and UI updates.
“All these acquisitions collectively enhance agent intelligence, data access, and workflow automation across the Salesforce ecosystem,” Dai said.
Salesforce expects to close the Regrello deal towards the end of this year.
